Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • Graduates of the Medical Office Administrator are fully trained professionals with core administrative skills required to be part of a health care team.
    The Office Administrator will not only teach students specialized skills required to be part of a health care team but also core administrative skills that are transferable across all industries.
    Specific topics covered in this program will be:
     Medical terminology
     Medical transcription
     Medical office procedures
     The fundamentals of the Electronic Health Record
     Computerized OHIP billing

  • The Accounting and Payroll Administration Program is designed to provide students with the hands-on training in the key areas of financial accounting and payroll, in addition to the implementation and operation of a computerized accounting system. The successful graduate will have the necessary skills to effectively keep a set of books, both manually and electronically. Upon successful completion of the Accounting & Payroll Diploma program, students will be eligible to apply for Canadian Payroll Association Certification (CPA) to become a CPA member.     HIGHLIGHTED CLINICAL SKILLS

    •  To learn the necessary skills in administering IM injections, using sterile technique and the five rights of medication administration  Apply knowledge of proper land marking & the medications administered  To be familiar with the M.A.R.S. (Medication Administration Record) & drug calculations
  • The course is presented in a workshop format. Participants will learn step-by-step procedure to perfom a 12-lead ECG. The principles and techniques of Holter monitoring will be cobvered in a hand-on laboratory sesion.This workshop would be of benefit to nurses working in critical care areas such as intensive care and emergency departments.
