Since its inception in 1981, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal has been dedicated to the training of professional dancers who have gone on to achieve acclaim both nationally and internationally. Renowned for its cutting-edge and rigorous training methods, the school offers a comprehensive three-year college-level program centered around the mastery of contemporary dance techniques, the cultivation of artistic and intellectual knowledge, and the development of versatile performance skills.
The primary objectives of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal’s professional training are as follows:

The school provides a full-time three-year Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC 561.BB) in collaboration with Cégep du Vieux Montréal, accredited by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur. While the school offers specialized training, general education courses (including French, Philosophy, English, Physical Education, and complementary subjects) are provided by Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Students also have the option to take these courses in English, thanks to an agreement between Cégep du Vieux Montréal and Dawson College.
