As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will become an additional resource to help the emergency medical system manage low-acuity, non-urgent patient transfers. This will keep more ambulances staffed in their communities, and will help increase the coverage for PCPs and ACPs in the province. EMTs will help provide a valuable service to the patients, your paramedic colleagues, and all those who rely on ambulance services during their times of need.
This program develops the required competencies and knowledge for providing care to the sick or injured. Through live lecture, self-directed learning, simulation and practical experience the individual will possess sound knowledge and skills, an unwavering commitment to excellence in all that they do and a deep sense of professionalism and caring.
