SECRETARIAL STUDIES – DEP 5857
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
As part of their daily tasks, secretaries independantly assume the administrative tasks necessary to support managers and professionals.
Secretarial tasks consist of:
Assure the quality of documents
Contribute to the office supplies
Correct texts, do layouts, collate and distribute documents.
Edit documents and designing presentations, spreadsheets, visual design of documents
Enter texts and data into a computer
Follow up on business correspondence
Keep agendas up to date
Organise meetings and events
Perform accounting tasks (bookkeeping, bank deposits, follow up on supplier and client accounts)
Perform document management
Provide customer service
Provide technical support on occasion for using equipment and integrating new employees
Translate texts
Update the information diffused on Internet sites and social media.
