• Early Childhood Education Diploma
  The early childhood education program is a two-year course (four years if completed through part-time program) which prepares graduates to work in a variety of early learning environments such as preschools, playschools and daycares. Students participating in this program will acquire an understanding of the theories of child development as well as the ability to plan, implement and administer a balanced early learning curriculum. The early childhood education program provides students with a balance of theoretical and practical experiences which give them the opportunity to develop caring, professionalism and integrity in their interactions with children, families and the larger community. Delivery: 2 years of full-time study or 4 years of part-time study *Individuals interested in taking select courses and not the complete diploma program must complete sections 1 & 2 on the College application. These students are classified as Professional Development students.
• INCLUSION & INTERVENTION DIPLOMA
  (Post-ECE Diploma) The Inclusion and Intervention Diploma is an advance level program. The pre-requisite requirement is that applicants are graduates of a recognized early childhood program or who have been deemed equivalent by the Jane Norman College’s Academic and Admisssions Review Committee.
• Teacher Assistant Certificate
  This program is an introduction to, and a comprehensive survey of, the field of special education. Special education is that branch of education responsible for meeting the needs of exceptional children – those who are gifted or who have impairments that affect intellectual, physical, emotional or sensory abilities.
• Level One Certification Courses
  Courses meeting the training requirements for individuals wishing to achieve a level 1 standing as outlined in the newly revised Day Care Standards.
• Adult Teaching Certificate
  Best practice in adult education will be utilized by way of example when teaching course content. Students will have the opportunity to participate as well as critique the various teaching/learning methodologies from both the presenter and participant perspective.  The program will consist of  three, ½ credit (30 hour) courses.

• YOUTH WORKER DIPLOMA

  The Youth Worker diploma is a two-year course which prepares graduates to work with youth in a variety of community-based situations such as juvenile justice, recreation, rehabilitation and residential youth care.
