PROGRAM DETAILS
Students interested in bricklaying in Nova Scotia are introduced to the foundational skills required for entry-level employment (Bricklayer Apprenticeship). As part of the program, a work term will be completed with contractors within the province.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students must have Grade 12 or equivalent, be in good physical health and have the ability to work at heights. An entrance interview will also be conducted to determine suitability for the program.
GRADUATION CRITERIA
To earn a certificate of completion, participants are required to successfully complete all academic coursework and work placements integral to the program.
PROGRAM DETAILS
This collaborative vocational training initiative provides a pathway to achieving Level One accreditation in electrician theory. Participants are credited with 900 hours of practical experience, advancing their journey towards an apprenticeship. The program includes technical instruction and prioritized work placements with key contractors in the Industrial-Commercial-Institutional sector. Enrollment is exclusive, with a cap of 18 students per class.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Eligible candidates should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. The selection process includes an interview to assess program fit and a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
