Beauty, Esthetics, Barber Programs

  • Our acclaimed Massage Therapy Program, celebrated for its advanced mastery-level curriculum, aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of the human body. It achieves this through an array of courses, including anatomy, neurology, pathology, and kinesiology, while also incorporating 340 hours of practical clinical training. This iteration of the program is condensed into 16 consecutive months, providing the same esteemed curriculum and exceptional instruction as our longer version but within a more compact timeframe. This accelerated option is designed for those looking to complete their education without the extended breaks found in the 20-month program, offering an efficient path to mastering massage therapy.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Our esteemed Massage Therapy Program, recognized for its mastery-level curriculum, is meticulously crafted to deepen your knowledge of the human body. It integrates a comprehensive array of courses covering anatomy, neurology, pathology, and kinesiology, complemented by 340 hours of hands-on clinical training. Spanning 20 months, this program includes a 4-month hiatus between the first and second years, offering a structured educational journey. This format ensures high-quality teaching across a standard academic cycle, consisting of two semesters, a summer break, and then the concluding two semesters, mirroring the familiar rhythm of post-secondary education.
  • Are you aspiring to become a Massage Therapist but find it challenging to attend physical classes due to your current circumstances? Do you need a flexible learning option that fits into your hectic schedule while allowing you to start your studies? The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) introduces a Hybrid Massage Therapy Program that merges online learning with on-campus education. This innovative program enables you to undertake the initial two years of health science and professional practice components online. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for those who are employed full-time, caring for young children, or residing in remote areas. Following the online phase, you will transition to the final 1.5 years of clinical science and practical training on-site, joining the Fast Track class at our Halifax campus. The on-site segment is more intensive, typically requiring students to be present on campus from Monday to Friday, possibly for half-day sessions. We design class schedules around the availability of our faculty members, who are also practicing therapists, ensuring that you receive education rooted in real-world experience. This blended approach offers a comprehensive pathway to becoming a Massage Therapist, accommodating your need for flexibility without compromising the quality of education.

Halifax Campus

CCMH is well known within our profession and clinic owners are aware of the high quality of massage therapists that graduate from CCMH. We prepare our students to become leaders in the profession. Our program is recognized by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), the College of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick (CMTNB), the College of Massage Therapists of Newfoundland (CMTNL), and graduates are eligible to take their provincial licensing examinations with any of these regulatory bodies. We offer an intensive course as part of our program that prepares our students to write and successfully pass these qualifying exams. CCMH’s program is designed to exceed the minimum standards and requirements of our profession’s regulators, thereby allowing our graduates to practice in any province and most regions outside Canada. Students are recommended to confirm the specific requirements for the province or region in which they wish to practice, if known, prior to entering the program. Graduates from CCMH who successfully complete qualifying exams in any legislated province (currently BC, ON, NB, PE, & NL) are eligible to work coast to coast in Canada.
