  • Program Description

    This program prepares students for a career in the hairstyling industry. This detailed program goes beyond basic knowledge, providing an extensive overview of different styling and cutting methods, product knowledge, tinting and bleaching techniques. After completing this program, students will recognize hair types, conditions, treatments, and application.

Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • Program Description

    This specialized program will provide advanced office administrator training and simulated practice in the administrative responsibilities required to complement the health-care team in a private practice, clinic, hospital, or allied health-care facility in Toronto. Students will be familiar with procedures required to operate a medical office and a wide range of medical data. Workplace simulations assist students in transferring the learned skills and knowledge to the work environment. to other academic and career paths.

    Career Opportunities

    Skills learned in this medical transcriptionist program are required by hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, government health agencies, diagnostic clinics, laboratories, research and doctors’ offices, as a medical secretary, medical transcriptionist or a medical unit clerk.

    Placement

    As a mandatory component of our medical unit clerk program, all students are required to complete an off-site externship placement. Placements occur at various business locations throughout the communities. This essential module allows students to exercise the skills learned in class, learn specific applications and to further enhance their learning experience in the selected facilities.

  • Program Description

    As an Early Childcare Assistant, you would assist and participate in the day to day operations of a childcare centre. You would help to provide a nurturing, caring environment in which young children can thrive and offer a professional approach while observing and guiding children throughout the day. Children look to the Early Childcare Assistant to provide support and supervision as they play and experience things together. Working with children, you would encourage socialization and enhance children’s self-esteem during daily activities.

Human & Social Services, CSW Programs

  • Program Description

    This program is designed to help students to assist those with developmental, learning and /or physical disabilities or mental disorders. The programs are highly educative, incorporating the latest skills and knowledge that will allow the students to excel professionally from our developmental service worker college in Toronto.

     

    In this program, students learn Interpersonal Communication, Health Promotion, Abnormal psychology, Developmental Psychology, Sociology, Team Work, Counselling techniques, Behavioural Management, Pharmacology and Human Sexuality. Students interested in pursuing a career as a Developmental Service Worker should be patient, understanding and have the ability to work under psychologically difficult circumstances. Legal, Policing Programs

  • Program Description

    Get a practical education to become a legal assistant or legal administrative assistant with Legal Office Administration program, which provides you with the essential knowledge and skills you’ll need to do the job well. You will learn the theory and procedures associated with real estate, litigation and corporate law. As well, you will get the opportunity to work in a simulated legal environment, where you will use specialized legal application software, draft and prepare legal documents, handle client’s files and manage deadline/time limitations.
