Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • AEC – Business Administration & Commerce

    Duration: 24 Months (2 Years)  The Business Administration and Commerce program, with a duration of 1200 hours, is given in four 15-week sessions, including a 2-month internship in a company. It will interest those wishing to pursue a career in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, sales and trade. The program focuses on the basic skills of communication and business ethics, and explores the essential computer applications used in the various fields of activity. Students will gain a thorough understanding of business concepts including marketing, entrepreneurship, economics and business law. Business Administration and Commerce also discusses the concepts in financial markets and the stock exchange. International students are eligible for post graduate working visa.  

    This training will allow students

    Understand the concepts of management in the conduct of business (Finance, Management – Marketing – Transport Logistics – the stock market – the business law, etc …). Master the concepts of basic accounting and financial markets. Understand the business processes related to the international export of products and services. Use computer tools for commercial communication. To communicate in English and to converse with ease.

    Employment prospects

    Employment prospects are very satisfactory in this field, whether at the level of SMEs, public companies, import-export companies, banks, trading companies or insurance. The placement rate in the industry has reached 80% for students with skills in management and business administration.

  • Residential Real Estate Broker

    The residential real estate broker program, with duration of 465 hours, is given in two 15-week semesters. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the final exam required for the procurement of a residential Real Estate Broker license. Duration: 465 hours (2 sessions – 6 months)

    Perspectives Employment

    Employment prospects are very satisfactory in this area. The placement rate is 80%. The main tasks of a graduate are to: analyze the real estate brokerage market, apply the laws and regulations relating to real estate brokerage, adopt professional behavior in their immovable property brokerage practice, appreciate the construction quality and standards for residential buildings, estimate the market value of residential property, carry out brokerage transactions relating to contracts for the sale, purchase or lease of a residential building, and overseeing operations such as promises to purchase, lease or exchange of residential buildings.

  • AEC – Early Childhood Education

    Duration: 24 Months (2 Years)  The early childhood education techniques program, lasting 1200 hours, is given in four 15 week sessions including two internships in CPE or family child care. This will be of interest to whoever would like to work with children ages 0-12 year. The program covers the fundamental skills needed to meet the specific needs of each child; to ensure a safe and healthy living environment; and to contribute to the development and improvement of the quality of services offered by the daycare. In addition, this program will enable students to develop emotional maturity, patience, self-confidence, sense of responsibility, ability to communicate and to develop activities to support the child’s needs.

    Perspectives Employment

    Employment prospects are very good in this area and the placement rate is 90%. Graduates can work in many types of existing childcare services such as in family-run childcare centers, school-based child care, kindergarten schools and daycares. The student’s versatility is an important element because they must be able to practice in each of these care settings.

    First Aid

    Section 20 of the Regulations on early childhood and Article 10 of daycare Regulations specify that child educators must hold a First Aid certificate issued within the last 3 years upon completion of their training. The First Aid course must be at least eight hours in duration.

    Adobe Dreamweaver CS Fundamentals & Essentials

    Dreamweaver CS Fundamentals & Essentials teaches you the latest techniques for designing websites with Dreamweaver CS. You’ll learn to define a web site, layout pages with CSS, use tables, create rollovers and work with templates and forms.

    Accounting and Bookkeeping

    Students in this program receive in-depth, practical training in office accounting procedures. A strong emphasis is placed on current business computer applications encompassing accounting, database,spreadsheet and payroll software. Particular attention is given to file management procedures. Included in the program are such financial procedures as bookkeeping, control accounts, general and subsidiary ledgers, end of fiscal period adjustments and statements,banking, inventory control and payroll preparation and reporting.     Computerized Accounting (Simply Accounting/Quickbooks)

    This course introduces you to the integrated computerized accounting system using Simply Accounting for Windows. Upon completion, the learner will be able to establish company records, maintain daily transactions using the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, account reconciliation and payroll features, and create financial statements
  • Introdution to HTML

    Designed for the student with little to no working knowledge of creating HTML files by hand. If you’re looking to learn HTML from scratch or move beyond using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editing tool, this is the class for you. Students will be introduced to the structure of HTML documents, good mark-up techniques, and the concept of validation. Students will be required to use a plain text editor to write HTML and use an FTP program to upload the pages to the Internet. Functional topics will include text formatting, using lists, tables, and a brief foray into CSS.

    Introdution to CSS

    In this course, you will be introduced to the concepts, techniques, properties, and values of CSS in a sequence that reflects a typical building up of design rules. You will first start with colors, since in many cases the colors you use for a site project will be dictated to you by the organization’s existing color scheme. Color is also the simplest part of CSS, so it’s a great place to get started. You will then learn how to control typography using text and font properties. Typographical styles are important to establish before you get into the layout of content areas because the size and spacing of your text will help define the size of your content sections. You will then explore the layout-oriented styles of CSS, including margins, padding, and absolute and relative positioning. Once you have established your layout, you can apply the finishing touches on your design, which might include customizing cursors, links, and forms, creating alternate style sheets, and many other techniques.

    Adobe Dreamweaver: Fundamentals & Essentials

    Dreamweaver CS Fundamentals & Essentials teaches you the latest techniques for designing websites with Dreamweaver CS. You’ll learn to define a web site, layout pages with CSS, use tables, create rollovers and work with templates and forms. You’ll also learn to use the new features in Dreamweaver CS, including the SPRY framework for AJAX, Adobe Device Central CS, the Manage CSS feature and new integration with Photoshop CS.     Adobe Photoshop

    Introduction to SQL

    Structured Query Language (SQL) is a very important data manipulation language. It is used in many different types of DBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Access. In this course, students will learn how to use SQL to retrieve, store or update data in Microsoft Access. The SQL syntax and data types may be different in other databases but students would manage to learn them very quickly once they have the foundation knowledge gained from this SQL course.
