One course, three commercial diving certifications! Our most popular course prepares you for a complete career commercial diving in Canada or abroad. Prepare for work welding underwater, performing engineering inspections, marine construction, and other offshore and inshore work. Upon graduation, divers receive DCBC (Diver Certification Board of Canada) international commercial diver certification to the CSA standards for Unrestricted Surface Supply Diver 50m along with Occupational SCUBA and Commercial Nitrox certifications. Commercial diving in Canada has strict standards, which means your commercial diving certification will be recognized around the world!
Surface Supply training opens up a wide array of career opportunities from geoduck harvesting to engineering inspector to rescue operations. You will find that many of the best paying jobs are Surface Supply. Our Restricted Surface Supply certification is the first step to break into the field. At Divesafe our focus is always on giving students practical, hands-on training with our instructors, some of the best commercial divers in the world. You’ll find yourself diving in real-world scenarios working on projects accurately representing real dive jobs. Projects such as blacked-out knots, lift bag recovery, and the pipe flange project will have you building invaluable skills to get your dream job.
Take the next step in your career as you learn technical skills and hone your management prowess to oversee your own team of commercial divers. Master your understanding of industry regulations and risk assessment techniques while building a strong foundation of leadership. The DiveSafe Commercial Dive Supervisor course fulfills the theoretical component required to apply for CSA/DCBC Dive Supervisor Certification.
Dive Accident Management (DAM) provides you with the knowledge to prevent and manage dive related accidents. At DiveSafe, we cover both the safety standards of the industry as well as how to apply this knowledge in unforeseen circumstances. Occupational divers and tenders must be trained in DAM to work in Canada.
Your Occupational SCUBA Diver certification is the first step to becoming a Commercial SCUBA Diver and is integral to working in Seafood Harvesting, Aquaculture, Scientific Diving and so much more! Upon completion, graduates are certified to CSA standards as an Occupational Scuba Diver, allowing them to conduct commercial diving operations using scuba equipment to a maximum depth of 30 metres (100 feet).
Oxygen Therapy is one of the most important treatments for dive related injuries including decompression sickness. An oxygen administration certification is required for commercial diving in Canada and many places around the world. This course will prepare you for oxygen administration in an emergency situation.
WHMIS training gives you knowledge of how to work safely with various products on the worksite. WHMIS is a required certification for many jobs in Canada. As divers, we often work with solvents, corrosive materials, compressed and flammable gases, to name a few. This makes WHMIS a vital certification on any dive site.
Tools Orientation brings you hands-on experience with some of the largest tools you’ll use underwater. This includes underwater welding, the pneumatic hammer, the underwater chainsaw and more. With Tools Orientation you’ll have a head start in some of the best paying dive jobs.
The KMDSI User course teaches divers how to properly maintain and repair Kirby Morgan helmets such as the Superlite. Being a user focused course we will focus primarily on regular maintenance and troubleshooting problems that may arise on the dive site. If you are interested in furthering this training we recommend following this course with the KMDSI Technician course.
The KMDSI Technician course is for those who want to know how to take a helmet apart and put it back together. You will learn how to use the full array of tools at your disposal to perform long term maintenance, troubleshoot in depth issues and if needed rebuild a helmet from the ground up.
