Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • Become more confident and equipped in understanding and managing public relations, websites and e-commerce. Students will be able to plan, track, report, and control budgets and accounting, operate a business and gain the fundamentals of project management in a leadership role. They will also learn the value of digital marketing.

  • Our Financial Office Assistant Diploma program prepares you for careers relating to finance. This includes working within accounting firms, the banking industry, with financial advisors, or within the financial department of a business. All businesses require accurate and timely financial data at their fingertips in order to make quality decisions, ensure cash flow, and streamline their operations.

    Knowledge of basic financial reports, and understanding the importance of having consistent systems in place is part of the focus of this course. Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills are the foundation of a career as a financial office assistant, and the industries that utilize these skill sets are very broad.

  • This program provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the many entities that make up the hospitality industry, as well as an overview of today's hot issues, including ethical challenges and management concerns. Numerous examples, exhibits, and statistics give students an up-to-date look at the dynamic hospitality field.

    The course reflects new industry trends, management practices, and the effect of technology and social media on various aspects of hospitality. Topics include: boutique/lifestyle hotels, Airbnb, global distribution systems, event technology, emotional labor, and Internet advertising.

  • Upon completion of this program, students will possess the knowledge to enter the Insurance Industry in British Columbia, with advanced computer, Insurance and interpersonal skills. Students will also be prepared to take the General Insurance or Adjuster level 1 exams to obtain certification in BC, SK or MB.

    This program articulates the knowledge, skills and abilities that are essential in various sections of the industry, such as management and operations of Transportation, Warehousing, and Procurement. Managing risks in the operations of these sectors are vital. Scenario based case studies are used to build classroom experiences that can be directly applied to real world situations.

Education, Teaching Programs

  • Education Assistants assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting and help students individually or in small groups with assignments and reinforce learning and retention concepts under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

    They assist students with special needs using techniques such as sign language, braille and remedial programs, monitor and report student progress to the classroom teacher, and accompany and supervise students during activities in school gymnasiums, laboratories, libraries, resource centres and on field trips.

    In addition, they may assist teachers in the operation of projectors, tape recorders and other audio-visual or electronic equipment, and perform other assisting as required.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Become a Healthcare office assistant and join the administrative support team in a variety of healthcare settings. Your HCOA training prepares you for rewarding careers in dental, medical, pharmacy, physiotherapy, optometry, chiropractic, and other clinics.

    In this program, you’ll learn the necessary computer software, professional office skills, and the core elements of anatomy, physiology, terminology and pharmacology. As a graduate, you’ll have the training you need to find employment in the growing healthcare industry.

Human & Social Services, CSW Programs

  • Work in a variety of settings, such as residential or group homes, transition houses or drop-in or overnight shelters. Community Service Workers often do community outreach work, visit clients, take clients on trips, and attend meetings with service providers. Compassion, active listening skills, social perceptiveness, and non-judgemental communication are key to becoming a successful Social Services and Community Support Worker.

Skilled Trades, Auto, Fire Programs
