  • With our global community rapidly expanding, and with the increased interest and dependence on world trade, the industry of importing and exporting goods couldn’t be more important or vital to the world’s economy. Individuals trained in Import/Export will be familiar with the details of the regulations and laws that govern world trade, as well as be privy to the current dialogues and rhetoric of the international market. This program teaches students valuable skills recommended by the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), which will provide all the tools necessary to eventually become a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) Areas of study include research in international business, legal aspects of international trade, law and business ethics, spreadsheets and databases and financial mathematics.
  • Individuals in an Accounting and Payroll department are typically responsible for preparing and processing bills, invoices, accounts payable and receivables, budgets and other financial records. This program provides students with hands-on training in bookkeeping, database management, and accounting software used by Canadian employers. Areas of study include accounting principles and practice, computerized accounting, managerial accounting, payroll administration, spreadsheets and data management. The Payroll Compliance Legislation course will be taken online through the Canadian Payroll Association.   • This program is available completely online. 

    Supply chain management is the process of moving the right thing to the right place at the right time – and at the right cost. To produce a product a plan needs to be put in place, from procurement, through manufacturing, to delivery.  The coordination of these processes is known as the “supply chain”, and is vital to an organization’s competitive advantage. An individual involved in supply chain management is responsible for managing the flow of products through the supply chain from start to finish.

    This online program, in partnership with , examines each stage of the supply chain and prepares students with the knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level positions in supply chain management. Areas of study include logistics, marketing, operations, procurement, transportation, negotiation skills and business planning.

    Herzing College is the only private career college in Manitoba offering a Supply Chain Management diploma program endorsed by SCC. As such, graduates receive a dual diploma. In the past, drafters primarily produced working and schematic drawings using a variety of drafting machines, rules, T-squares, curves, triangles, and other drawing tools. Today, individuals in this role produce these drawings using a computer-assisted drawing system known as CAD. This program develops the skills necessary to determine the information to include on drawings. Areas of study include taking and interpreting measurements, manufacturing, interpreting technical information related to materials and the manufacturing process, illustrating the arrangement of components and power train systems, interpreting and creating drawings and sketches, specialized functions of a computer-aided drafting program.

  • Interior Designers conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings. Computers are used to aid in drafting, color matching and final product visualization. This program prepares students to conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings. Areas of study interior design and decoration, color, space planning, CAD of interior designs and decorators, textiles and interior materials, furniture and accessories, lighting and commercial and residential perspectives and renders.
  • Sustainable Architecture is a new approach to architectural design and construction that focuses on green con-struction technologies, renewable energy, and improving the energy performance of buildings. Most governments are now concerned about issues of sustainable development and environmental awareness of individuals. The Sustainable Architecture program prepares students to meet the requirements of the construction industry in general and to meet the growing need to adopt and develop strategies for development and design that are sus-tainable. Areas of study include applied mathematics for architecture, technical architecture and drawings, design, construction and environmental sustainability, services of green buildings and energy management, analysis and design statements of green buildings and regulation of construction and building codes.
  • 2D animation has been around since the 1800’s and involves creating two-dimensional characters, backgrounds and storyboards. 2D animation has evolved from using hand drawn images to using computer-based software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Flash and After Effects to create and edit images, but it still plays an important role in the world of animation today. This program provides a well-rounded curriculum and prepares students with the skills and competencies needed to pursue a career in TV, movie production and more. Areas of study include introduction to animation and animation software, arcs, anticipation, drawing, posing, character rigging, character animation and more. Program length: 12 months (20 hours/week) includes 6 week internship
  • Web and graphic designers use color, lettering, typography and computer design programs to create images and documents for use in print and web. They combine art and technology to communicate ideas. Computer Graphic Design students learn design fundamentals, lettering and typography, graphic design and web design. Students create color composites and renderings and are introduced to using computer applications and sophisticated software as design tools. Students use these tools to create high quality layouts and designs for print and web. This program provides students with a solid foundation for career growth. Graduates are qualified for many entry-level positions, including production or computer artists at newspapers or print media production houses, advertising agencies or television stations. Areas of study include Adobe Photoshop image design and editing, vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator, website design, graphic design and layout using Adobe InDesign and more.   • Law Clerks play an important role in the legal profession, working directly under the guidance of a Lawyer. Law Clerks are responsible for routine legal and administrative work, and may assist a Lawyer with more complex legal matters. Law firms, government offices and legal departments employ Law Clerks to offer services to their clients at lower costs. This program provides an overview of legal principles, practices and procedures. Areas of study include legal office procedures, Corporate Law, Wills and Estates, Family Law, Real Estate, Litigation and the practical application of Law Clerk responsibilities.
  • Paralegals are non-lawyers providing legal services in specified areas of practice to the public for a fee. The type of work that a licensed paralegal can perform is limited by the Law Society and this program is restricted to those areas of law. Ce programme mène à l’obtention d’un diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP) reconnu par le ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec. En tant que dessinateur industriel, votre rôle consiste à traduire les concepts des ingénieurs en spécifications de fabrication et de construction. En utilisant le logiciel AutoCAD, vous créerez une série de dessins et de documents techniques, couvrant les systèmes de transmission, la tuyauterie, les circuits, les fixations, les mécanismes, les boîtiers de machines et les détails d’assemblage. Le programme de dessin industriel du Collège Herzing permet aux étudiants d’acquérir les connaissances et les compétences nécessaires pour produire des dessins et des données techniques indispensables à la fabrication et à la construction. Le programme offre une grande flexibilité avec des options de 18 ou 24 mois, comprend une formation complète au logiciel AutoCAD, un stage de 3 semaines et plusieurs dates de début de programme tout au long de l’année. Une aide financière peut également être accordée aux étudiants éligibles, ce qui rend ce programme accessible à ceux qui souhaitent entamer une carrière enrichissante dans le domaine du dessin industriel.

Technologie, Réseaux Programmes

  • Skilled drafters interpret the ideas of engineers and present them in the language of manufacturing and construction. In the past, drafters primarily produced working and schematic drawings using a variety of drafting machines, rules, T-squares, curves, triangles, and other drawing tools. Today, individuals in this role produce these drawings using a computer-assisted drawing system known as CAD.

    This program prepares students to become skilled drafters that interpret the ideas of engineers and present them in the language of manufacturing and construction. This course offers three different areas of study to choose from; Track A – Visualization & Animation in Engineering Design, Track B – Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering Drafting & Design, Track C – Architectural / Engineering/ Construction Building Design.

    Program length: 16 months (25 hours/week) includes 16 week internship

  • Individuals trained in computing support manage and install network resources, optimize computer performance and troubleshoot computer problems. They will be able to analyze the architecture and operation of computer systems and provide service to clients in the workplace.

    This program teaches optimal use of software, the use of older and recent operating systems, the use of application software, creating and using databases, and the use of telecommunications. Areas of study include installing hardware and software, managing access, setting up resource sharing, troubleshooting and computer optimization.

  • Learn how to install, maintain, optimize, and protect computer networks. Prepare for essential certifications, including CompTIA and CCNA. Get real work experience with a 12-week internship.

    The Microcomputer & Networking Systems Technology program provides a very strong foundation in network installation, optimization, and troubleshooting skills.

    You will learn how to:

    • Build a microcomputer from parts, install operating systems and utilities, and troubleshoot problems
    • Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices (disk drives, memory, printers, network cards, scanners, etc.)
    • Install Windows server 2012/2016/2019
    • Implement network connections, optimize system performance, manage security
    • Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux operating systems
    • Connect, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches
    • Resolve hardware and software problems, network performance and security issues
    • Assemble a functional network using desktop virtualization, network servers, and clients
    • Set up and use cloud applications
    • Maintaining network documentation
  • Programmer Analysts write, modify, integrate and test computer code for a variety of computer and software applications. They determine the business application need for a computer system. An individual trained in this role may also be responsible for training employees on using a program. This program prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and the popular programming languages and applications required in a software development environment. Areas of study include Microsoft VB.Net applications, Object-oriented programming with JAVA, database design and development with SQL Server, Internet programming with JavaScript, PHP and mobile technologies.
  • Computer Network Technicians establish, operate, maintain and co-ordinate the use of networks, software, hardware, and related computer equipment. Individuals in this role typically troubleshoot and provide IT support, install and maintain software, monitor network security, and perform back up operations. This program provides skills, knowledge and practical experience to work effectively in positions including technical support, computer maintenance/repair, hardware/software installation and network administration. Areas of study include COMPTIA (A+, Net+, and Linux+), MCP, MCTS, MCSA, MCSE and CCNA. The cost of the A+ certification is included in the course.
  • Demand for cybersecurity talent has risen sharply and statistics expect that number will rise to 3.5 million by 2021. In just 12 months, our Certificate in Cybersecurity Foundations will prepare you for a career in cybersecurity and help you earn your Associate of (ISC)² designation.

    The curriculum aligns with the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Exam body of knowledge and covers all seven-fundamental building block of cybersecurity; Access Controls, Security Operations and Administration, Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Analysis, Incident Response and Recovery, Cryptography, Network and Communications Security and Systems and Application Security.
