Personal Support Workers (PSWs) work in Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Retirement Homes and Home Care Agencies assisting the elderly and people with disabilities with their tasks of daily living, including personal care, mobility, home management and socialization.
The PSW program is 700 hours in length, including In-Class Theory and Skills Practice, Clinical Placement and a Final Examination. Ask us about our flexible class schedules.

MHA Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate
MHA Academic Transcript
NACC Certificate and PIN
Comprehensive one or two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest First-Aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Exceeds other standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.
Red Cross 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR (Level A, C, or HCP) and AED
Those with current Red Cross certification can qualify for the recertification course.
Requirement: Proof of current Standard First-Aid & CPR Certification
The Alzheimer Society’s Dementia Care Training Program is a 12-hour course (over 4 weeks) for enhancing knowledge and skills related to providing holistic care to persons with dementia. This program is excellent for Personal Support Workers, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Caregivers, Rehabilitation staff, students and volunteers whom work with seniors.
