Beauty, Esthetics, Barber Programs

  • The Advanced Esthetics Diploma provides students with integrated theoretical and practical learning experiences and a strong foundation in personal care and specialized beauty and body treatments. Such as skin anatomy, infection prevention and control, cosmetic Ingredients and product selection, skincare/facial and electrotherapy, waxing -hair removal, cosmetic massage & body treatments, manicures and pedicures, artistry make up.

    This program has been designed in compliance with the MTCU Esthetician Subject Specific Standard. After finishing this course students will have the ability to assess each client’s needs and determine appropriate personal care in relation to that client’s condition, use of specialized equipment and products, technical instruction pertaining to personal skincare treatments and services in the safest manner, students also learn business and customer service skills, sales techniques and knowledge of infection prevention and control.

    Knowledge and skills

    • Perform the importance of a client consultation and health screening prior to performing facial treatments
    • Identify general skin types and specific skin conditions to determine the most appropriate treatment recommendations,

Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • The diploma of medical office administration program is designed to provide students with a variety of knowledge and skills which are needed to work in a private physician office, clinical office, or hospital.

    The student will learn the basic use of medical terminology, the various functions of management, the requirements specific to patients with certain diseases or disability, skills of good customer services, knowledge of good customers services, the knowledge of OHIP, WSIB and third party billing, the knowledge of maintaining the health records and various ethical and legal issues attached with them, and the knowledge of general rules pertaining to medical transcription.

    This program includes 9 models. It covers all the necessary elements to work as a medical office administrator. We focus on practical knowledge. After training the students will fully qualify for the career market.

Culinary Arts Programs

  • This program covers the whole procedure of food processing include food manufacturing, sanitation, packaging & labeling, quality control and quality assurance, HACCP and HACCP audit, food development. Provide sound knowledge of food regulations, CFIA and USDA, GMP, SOP, GLP. After completing this program, the student will be able to write the HACCP plan, preparing, performing, reporting, and following up HACCP audit results. Conduct the Quality assurance, control of raw materials, process and finished products, sampling, evaluation of sensory properties and other factors. Product quality control, perform testing for all incoming raw materials/finished goods.
    Quality assurance in food manufacturing will prepare our students for an understanding of quality management systems, principles of a product complaint, total quality control management, control of raw materials, process and finished products; sampling, evaluation of sensory properties and other factors. At the end of the course, students will be able to manage quality-related issues as well as various regulatory requirements. HACCP course teaches the principles related to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) that is widely used and endorsed internationally by industry and consumer groups. Our HACCP auditor leads with an understanding of the ASQ HACCP Auditor for preparing, performing, reporting, and following up audit results. After completing this course, the student can create HACCP plan for industry and can take the examination of certified HACCP auditor (American Society for Quality). Our students practice in our college analytical laboratory to get hands-on skills of general methods of wheat, flour and bread analysis, fruit and vegetable, vitamins, meat and milk analysis etc. After this hands-on training, our students have the ability to work in a food quality control laboratory in the industry.

Education, Teaching Programs

  • Early childcare assistants (ECA) plan and arrange activities for preschool and school-age children. Early childhood educators and assistants lead children in activities to encourage and develop their academic, physical and mental/psychological growth. Our unique diploma program especially focuses on health and safety, children’s infancy, toddler and preschool development, interactive and two-way communications, child mental development and guidance, developing educational theories, designing age-reflective curriculum, and program management while working with families where needed.
    The diploma also ensures them to earn the First Aid and CPR certifications. At the end of the class room session, students will be doing a practicum session of 320 hours which will be arranged and scheduled by the school. Students will gain practical experience in our practicum under the guidance of qualified and experienced early childhood educators, this will take a step ahead for ensuring that the students are well-equipped with the knowledge required for practicing the profession in real work-settings.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • The whole course involves 23 months of intense learning. The learning involves a broad spectrum of theoretical(68weeks) include practical demonstrations of Ultrasound skills in the classroom and supervised practicum in school simulation Lab and clinic practice (32 weeks) experience in our affiliated diagnostic clinics and medical facilities. Our Lab Focuses on a student-centred approach and is equipped with high-quality scanning equipment, capable of providing full computer-interfaced ultrasound images to enhance learning outcomes. Our more than 16 years exam preparation for ARDMS experience accumulates a comprehensive range of exam preparation resource material to prepare students ready for the sonography Canada national exam. Upon successful completion of this diploma program, students are eligible to write the national credentialing examinations for the Generalist Sonographer conducted by Sonography Canada; as well as the certification exams by (ARDMS). Students who are successful in the sonography Canada Core and the Generalist Sonographer (Core/abdominal/ superficial structures, vascular for generalist, obstetrics and gynecology) become certified by Sonography Canada and qualify to register with CMRITO and practice as a Generalist Sonographer. Before Register with CMRITO, a graduate must complete CMRITO online Jurisprudence Course and get the Certificate. Knowledge and Skills the students will learn:
    1. Proper identification of patient’s Document & record patient’s examination
    2. Good communication skills in oral, writing, non-verbal, etc.
    3. Good knowledge of equipment and skillful in machine set-up, use age and maintenance
    4. Critical thinking. Good at examination planning; integration of relevant, available diagnostic data; technical analysis
    5. Perform a variety of scanning includes abdominal, obstetrics, gynecology, MSK, abdominal vascular, small Parts (Thyroid, Parathyroid, Salivary gland, Breast, Groin, Male Pelvis,) Etc
    6. Monitored examination by viewing images to evaluate the quality of diagnostics images and made necessary adjustments.
    7. Differentiate sonographic appearance of normal structures from anomalous and pathologic conditions,
    8. Prepare examination reports for the radiologist.

  • The 78 weeks (1690 hours) learning involves theoretical (56 weeks) include practical demonstrations of Ultrasound skills in the classroom and supervised practicum in the school Lab and participate in clinical training (22 weeks) with our affiliated clinical agencies. Before Register with CMRITO, the graduate must complete CMRITO online Jurisprudence Course and get the Certificate.   • The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints, Students learn to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function or relieve pain. We are dedicated to promoting a unique concept of Massage Therapy with the highest standard of education so that students graduate out knowing the skills that are currently in demand. Students would develop the required academic knowledge and expertise that will allow them to successfully conduct a methodical patient assessment, prepare treatment plans, deliver safe and effective treatment in an efficient manner while evaluating the diagnostic results. For the future entrepreneur, the course will teach how to successfully conduct ones’ own business as well.
    Apart from theory and practical hands-on experience, students will also learn to excel in communication, professionalism, organizational, time management skills, critical thinking, business and legal practice. Our curriculum is based on in compliance with the Inter-Jurisdictional Massage Therapy Competency Standards by College of Massage Therapists of Ontario/ College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia/ College of Massage Therapists of Newfoundland & Labrador. It is approved as a vocational program under the private career college act 2005. After graduating with the diploma students will be able to take theoretical (MCQ)and practical (OSCE) exam in order to obtain the Certificate of Registration from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). This will allow the students to practice their profession legally within Ontario and other provinces.
  • The Acupuncture diploma program is designed in compliance with the entry-level standards of practice set by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). The learning involves theories, practical demonstrations of Acupuncture skills in the classroom and supervised practicum in the clinic. Students will learn Acupuncture concepts and Technique, TCM foundation, Diagnostics and Acupuncture Treatment, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Fundamentals of Biomedical, Herbs, Manual Medicine (Tuina), Qigong, Eastern Nutrition and Western Medical Assessment, Professional Ethics and communication, Clinic practice etc.
    After completing this program, students are eligible for the Pan Canadian Examination for Acupuncturist and register with CTCMPAO, and eligible for the NCCAOM Acupuncture Certification Examination for Oriental Medicine in the USA. As a member of CTCMPAO, you are entitled to be Acupuncturist to diagnose patients’ diseases, physiological disorders and injuries according to traditional Chinese medical theories and treat them by combining integrative healthcare models with Traditional Chinese acupuncture.
  • Personal support workers (PSW) assist with tasks of daily living. Services are provided in homes and apartments in community, long-term care facilities, congregate housing settings, etc. Personal support workers must develop a broad range of abilities beyond dexterity skills. They must be able to provide not only comfort, safety and well being to their clients, but also demonstrate sensitivity, empathy and compassion to them. Personal support workers help people who are disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired. They often help older adults who need assistance.
    This is a single training program that replaces and consolidates health aide and home support worker training. This program standardizes training and provides a solid educational base for workers who provide long term care and support services in both institutional and community settings. This program includes two parts: theoretical study and co-op placement. There are 12 modules for class training and 8 weeks of co-op placement both in the long-term care facilities and community facility. After successful completion of study students will be able to take the certification exam of NACC which is required to be a PSW by the Ontario government. We provide job placement opportunities in hospitals through our network to students after graduation. The program is accredited by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC).
  • The Medical Laboratory Technician program is designed for students who are going to work as a Medical Laboratory Technician/Assistant in a hospital, medical laboratory, clinic, clinical research laboratory etc. In this program students will learn:

    This program includes 13 modules and a co-op placement. It covers all the necessary elements to work as a medical laboratory technician/assistant. We focus on practical and theoretical knowledge. After successful completion of this program, students will be eligible to write the license exam by Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association of Ontario (MLPAO) and become qualified members of the laboratory team.
  • Our Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to train students to work in community and hospital drug stores, Nursing homes and Drug Distribution Company. This diploma program covers a broad range of subjects. The students will learn drug and medical terminologies, dosage forms, pharmacy math, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacy computer dispensing system, merchandise management system, Inventory Management, Pharmacy Legislation and ethics, the community and hospital pharmacy assistant practice in Canada Etc. After theoretical studies, the students will co-op in the community drug stores like Shoppers’ Drug Mart, Rexall Pharma-Plus, Costco Pharmacy, Walmart Pharmacy Etc for 6 weeks in total of 240 hours.
  • The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma program primarily will focus on the growth and development of the human body and the different physiotherapy methods & techniques to support clients’ independence, activities, and help in proper physical functioning. In this program, students will get the opportunity to get a good idea on the theory behind the practice of occupational therapy and physiotherapy, and side by side be able to apply the acquired knowledge through clinical experiences and practicum sessions during placements.
    Students will complete their practicum sessions for 320 hours in physiotherapy clinics and rehabilitation centers after completing their classroom lecture sessions. During placement, students will be taught to assist clients and families to successfully deal with limitations during the movement for daily functioning, and promote activities (temporary or permanent), according to their physical needs. The clinical placement provides students with a golden prospect to practice their newly learned skills in a professional work setting. While on placement, students gain diverse experiences and become more self-confident, and in some cases, receive offers of employment from the placement site if their performances are well beyond doubt. Student clinical placements are arranged and are planned by the college after completing instructor-led hours.
  • This program will provide students knowledge of Food nutrition and health nutrition. students will be understanding basic nutrition (macro and micro nutrition), nutrition through the lifespan, planning healthy diets, and the role of food and natural nutrition in the body, fitness, health, disease and global nutritional issues. After finishing this course, students will be able to assist the clinical dieticians or nutritionists to plan and supervise the food, provides nutritional care to low and moderate risk patients as delegated by the Registered Dietician, Plan menus and diet for individuals or groups under the direction of a dietician or nutritionist,  Performs a variety of activities to ensure the efficient and effective provision of nutrition care. Students can Registered as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant or a Certified Holistic Nutritionist.
  • This program train student the comprehensive knowledge and skills in the fields of pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurances, and regulatory affairs. Students learn how to work in a pharmaceutical laboratory, familiar with GMP, GLP and SOPs, USP and analytical monographs Learn the wet chemistry and variety of analytical instruments HPLC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, Dissolution, GC, TLC and microbiology, the instrument’s theoretical, software application, calculation, computerized integrators and troubleshooting techniques. after completing the quality control part, the student will have the ability to the analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process and finish products and conduct pharmaceutical research duty.
    Quality assurance will bring to the students a wide range of knowledge of quality assurance guidance GMP, GLP, and ICH in all areas that impact drug quality. Students will gain knowledge about the quality system and proper documentation practices (GDPs), SOPs and principles of product complaints, product recall, returned goods, change control and CAPA. They will learn how to manage validation protocol, batch documents, and investigation reports and be familiar with facility audits. At the end of the course, students will manage GMP and quality-related issues as well as various regulatory requirements. The course will introduce to the student’s essential knowledge of regulatory affairs across a broad range of healthcare products including medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics and combination products.
  • The diploma of pharmaceutical quality control program will provide student working knowledge of analytical instrumental techniques (HPLC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, GC and dissolution), computerized integrators and troubleshooting techniques, and how to use the US pharmacopeia and British Pharmacopoeia in detail. Also teaching students current Good Manufacturing Practices(cGMP), FDA and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, applicable standard operating procedures, analytical monographs, basic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, Student will practice a variety of tests in the laboratory. After finishing this course students will perform complex chemical and physical analysis on a wide range of pharmaceutical products in accordance with standards and established procedures.
  • Quality Assurance is critical to the success of product development and manufacture and the maintenance of regulatory compliance. This course is designed to provide participants with extended knowledge of Quality Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control and to highlight the challenges associated with QA in the pharmaceutical field. In this course, it clarifies the roles and expectations of Quality Assurance throughout the entire process, from development through audits and inspections. Students will gain a wide range of knowledge of quality assurance guidance: GMPs, GLPs, ICH, GDPs, how to write SOPs, do an investigation, product complaints, product recall, returned goods, change control and CAPA.
    In this program, it offers specialized knowledge required as regulatory affairs professionals who work in Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and food companies. This course will give participants the skills necessary to work with regulatory agencies worldwide from conducting clinical trials overseas to filing efficient, compliant submissions with foreign regulators. The primary focus is on regulatory affairs in North America under the Canadian Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but it also discusses the regulations in Europe, Japan and Australia. In an increasingly global market, understanding of global regulations is more important than ever.
  • This program will train students in a variety of topics related to Manufacturing of pharmaceutical dosage forms including tablets, capsules, pellets, suspensions, ointments and creams, using conventional manufacturing processes following cGMP and 21 CRF Regulations. The program offers working knowledge and practical operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, monitoring process flows, performing tests and recording data. Students will learn and understand the process trains from the time raw materials enter the warehouse including Dispensing through to Manufacturing (Granulation, Compression, Coating, and Encapsulation, including Troubleshooting), Packaging and Documentation until it leaves the warehouse as a finished product.
  • Confirmed Acupuncture Education Programs is designed to be in compliance with College of Massage Therapists of Ontario Standard of Practice for Acupuncture and CMTO’s Acupuncture Practice Competencies and Performance Indicators (APC/PIs).     This combined lab/lecture course introduces the basic concepts of the meridian system, the definitions, classification, terminology, physical location, anatomical description, function and indications of the 12 regular meridian points, with emphasis on the most frequently used points. Acupuncture techniques such as structure and gauge of the filiform needle; preparation procedures for needling; the method of needle insertion, direction, angle, and depth of needle; needle manipulations; basic skills for promoting the Qi arrival; position and drape client; insertion and withdrawal of needles; Gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, managing and prevention of possible accidents in acupuncture, safety standard and risk management Etc.

    Upon arrival, students have successfully completed our Confirmed Acupuncture Education Program and can apply acupuncture within the Scope of Practice of Massage Therapy. Students can apply to the College to be authorized. Registrants who are authorized to perform acupuncture by CMTO will be listed in the College’s public register.

  • The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the principles and technologies applied in the preparation of pharmaceutical dosage forms. The students will learn the FDA regulation, theory and principle of pharmaceutical dosage forms manufacturing.
