The Health Care Aide Government of Alberta Provincial Curriculum is licensed by the Private Career Colleges Branch through the Ministry of Alberta Advanced Education. We offer our hands-on program in Lethbridge, Cardston and Pincher Creek. The program will prepare individuals to work in continuing care facilities, lodges, hospitals, clinics, as well as in community homecare.
This program consists of classroom learning, on-site lab practice, instructor-led facility training, supervised facility practice and two preceptored clinical experiences (one month in a long-term care facility/hospital and one week in a lodge/homecare).
In addition to a Health Care Aide Government of Alberta Provincial Curriculum Certificate, graduates will receive certification in Medication Assistance Course (materials developed by Alberta Health Services), Supportive Pathways, Emergency First Aid Level A CPR/AED, WHMIS, Fire Suppression and Continuing Care Health Services Standards.
Training Inc. provides a variety of safety training courses offered through qualified instructors and accredited training centres. We deliver Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), Fall Protection Group, ENFORM, St. John Ambulance, and the Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA) courses.
