Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Our Competency-Based, Mastery Level registered massage therapy program of study is taught by the most highly credentialed and experienced instructors in the field today and delivered over five semesters in 20 months.

Upon successful completion of our Competency-Based Master Level program, graduates are confidently prepared to sit and successfully complete the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia’s licensure examination for entry to practice as a registered massage therapist.

  • Introduction to Massage Therapy is a mandatory prerequisite for the Competency-Based Mastery Level Registered Massage Therapy Program, applicants must achieve a minimum of 75% in this prerequisite to be eligible to enter into the RMT program.

This course is designed to introduce students to basic manual applications of massage therapy for general relaxation. Students will learn safe and appropriate biomechanical skills, hygiene standards, patient handling, table setup, and draping techniques as they develop their palpation and tactile skills. Students will also be introduced to the profession of Massage Therapy as it exists in BC.

  • Bio Prep is a strongly recommended course for prospective students who are applying to the Competency Based Mastery Level Registered Massage Therapy Program. It is designed as an introduction and overview of the health science portion of the RMT Program and will prepare prospective students for the rigor of the Anatomy & Physiology section of the program.

WCCMT receives more applicants than we have space available for and as such, Bio Prep participation and marks (minimally at or above our pass grade of 75%) becomes an integral component of our consideration when reviewing application submissions for final acceptance into our program.

Cost: No Charge – the course is only available to those prospective students with open applications at the College.

  • This allows those with relevant educational backgrounds to receive, through a prior learning assessment (PLA) process, course credits thereby reducing the total hours and cost of completing their RMT education at WCCMT.
