Addiction and Recovery Specialists work with clients from diverse backgrounds who have addiction disorders such as drug, alcohol and gambling addictions. As an Addiction and Recovery Specialist, your everyday activities include providing counseling, support, and crisis identification among other important tasks. Upon completion of this program, students will seek employment with family social service agencies, community mental health centres, facilities for the physically and developmentally disabled, group homes, drop-in centres, life skill programs, outreach services, and supported housing initiatives.

Choosing a school or program can feel overwhelming, especially when funding details, eligibility, and timelines may depend on your personal situation.
