Home support workers offer personal care and companionship to the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and clients in recovery. They deliver these services in the clients’ homes, where they may also live. These professionals are typically employed by home care agencies, private households, and residential settings outside of traditional institutions, or they may choose to work independently.
Graduates of the Home Support Worker (HSW) program have the opportunity to further their education by transitioning into the Personal Care Aide (PCA) program at SBC, subject to certain conditions.
