PAYROLL & INCOME TAX PRACTITIONER

CDI College’s Payroll and Income Tax Practitioner certificate program will provide you with the tools you need to stand out in the competitive job market. In this program, you’ll go beyond the basics, improving your accounting skills using accounting software and learning how to prepare and file income tax returns for clients while gaining a firm grasp on the Income Tax Act.

Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to enter the workforce, with a strong foundation in accounting, computerized accounting systems, income tax preparation, running payroll and meeting compliance through annual payroll cycles, and the office administration skills needed to work in a modern workplace.

Additionally, the Payroll and Income Tax Practitioner program fulfills every core and elective course credit requirement for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP) at the level of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).

This means you’ve advanced beyond basic accounting principles and you’ll have the chance to practice your skills in industry-standard software applications. CPA requires a Work Experience Requirement Application (WERA) and a passing program grade of 65% for certification, including a transfer credit of Introduction to Accounting. For more information on CPA requirements, visit www.payroll.ca.
