Welding plays a significant role in our daily lives, from commonplace items like desks and tables to more critical applications in the automotive, aviation, and bridge construction industries. The welding industry is incredibly diverse, offering numerous career prospects.
Our Welding and Fitting program encompasses 29 competencies and spans 1,800 hours. Students engage in a combination of theoretical and hands-on work to develop the skills required to assume roles, perform functions, and complete tasks related to the field. This comprehensive training equips them to progress effectively while prioritizing workplace safety.
Throughout the program, students will prepare and weld various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, employing different processes like SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW. They will also complete welding projects involving steel parts and the creation of basic assemblies. Finally, they will learn to interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the industry.
