Standard First Aid and CPR Level C

COURSE DESCRIPTION

A comprehensive two-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) skills and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training for those who need training due to work requirements and for those who want more knowledge on how to respond to emergencies in the community and at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial worker safety and insurance boards (WSIB in Ontario) for all workplaces/sites and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

The course content includes chapters in The Red Cross, Preparing to Respond, The EMS System, Check Call Care, Airway and Breathing Emergencies, Circulation Emergencies, First Aid for Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest, Life-threatening Wound Care, Head and Spinal Injuries, Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries, Sudden Medical Emergencies such as diabetic shock, Environmental Emergencies, and Poisons.
